The Role

We are pleased to offer several internships for summer 2023. We are hiring across a few teams, and there is a possibility to get experience across more than one.

The teams that are hiring include:

  • Finance
  • Compliance
  • Risk

In the finance team, you will have the opportunity to learn techniques for automating finance processes at scale, with on hand support from finance and tech professionals. You can expect a broad experience across all finance functions, engaging with several stakeholders across the business.

In the compliance team, you will have the opportunity to learn about a critical function that underpins all our global trading activities. You will learn about how we work with new markets, exchanges, and trading counterparties across the globe.

For the Risk team, you will be exposed to how XTX managers operational and real-time market risk. It is a highly quantitative team, using Python and Golang extensively, and is a unique insight into daily trading activities of an award-winning trading firm.

Essential Attributes

  • We will give preference to candidates who are in their penultimate year of studies, preferably in a STEM subject such as Maths, Physics, Statistics, Computer Science or related
  • You should have demonstrable interest in, and expertise with, Python or R for data analysis
  • You will be enthusiastic and can demonstrate a willingness to work with multiple teams
  • You will be able to shown an enthusiasm for trading, with a preference for candidates who demonstrate this with internships, personal development projects or academic study
